Support part of the app is here to help you with most of the features of the ScyFin app.

Error codes

Whenever you can't succeed into doing something in the app, an error message is displayed as an alert in the top right part of the app. Most times, this alert also includes an error code in this format "[SCYERR-F*****]" which you can find below, along with what is causing the specific error and what could be the solution.


    F01 [SCYERR-F0100]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0100] Transaction has not been inserted!
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to insert a transaction into a category.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F01 [SCYERR-F01001]

    Message: [SCYERR-F01001] Please wait "x" more seconds before inserting a new transaction!
    Cause: A transaction can be inserted only once each 4 seconds from a single user session. This is not available when you insert multiple transactions all at once.
    Solution: Please wait at least 4 seconds before inserting a new transaction.

    F01 [SCYERR-F01101]

    Message: [SCYERR-F01101] Category already exists in account! Please choose a different name.
    Cause: A category with the same name as the one you are trying to insert already exists in the current account.
    Solution: Please choose an unique name across an account for a new cateogry.

    F01 [SCYERR-F01404]

    Message: [SCYERR-F01404] Transaction has not been inserted!
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to insert a transaction into a group.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F01 [SCYERR-F0107]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0107] The category could not be edited at this time!
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying edit a category.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F01 [SCYERR-F0108]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0108] The transaction could not be edited at this time!
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying edit a transaction.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F01 [SCYERR-F0109]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0108] The group could not be edited at this time!
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying edit a group.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F01 [SCYERR-F0199]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0199] Budget was not created because it cannot be empty!
    Cause: You tried to create a budget without a defined amount.
    Solution: Please add a definite amount (more than 0) to the budget and retry the operation.

    F01 [SCYERR-F0188]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0188] Email already confirmed!
    Cause: You tried to confirm an already confirmed email address.
    Solution: The email address is already confirmed, so you don't have to confirm it again.

    F02 [SCYERR-F0244]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0244] Recurrent transaction could not be inserted!
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to insert a recurrent transaction.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F02 [SCYERR-F0265]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0265] Whole budget could not be edited! Please contact support for more information
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to edit a whole budget.
    Solution: Please verify the budget start date and end date again. Otherwise, please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F02 [SCYERR-F0273]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0273] Old budget could not be finished, or new budget could not be created. Please contact support for more information
    Cause: When you end the current budget and create a new one, it is possible that one of the operations fails in the process.
    Solution: Please verify the budget start date and end date again. Otherwise, please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F02 [SCYERR-F0275]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0275] The budget could not be deleted. Please contact support for more information.
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to delete a whole budget.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F02 [SCYERR-F0276]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0276] The month budget could not be deleted. Please contact support for more information.
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to delete a month budget.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F03 [SCYERR-F0301]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0301] Account relation couldn't be created at this time.
    Cause: This is an internal error when you try to add an user to your account.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F03 [SCYERR-F0302]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0302] User email does not exist.
    Cause: The user's email you are trying to add to your account does not exist.
    Solution: Please correct the email and try again. Ask the user you are trying to add for their email.

    F03 [SCYERR-F0303]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0303] Account relation couldn't be created at this time.
    Cause: You tried to add an user to an account which is not yours.
    Solution: Don't try to add an user to an account which is not yours.

    F03 [SCYERR-F0304]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0304] Account relation couldn't be created at this time.
    Cause: You tried to add a new user to your account without specifying their email, or without setting the correct permissions.
    Solution: Please correct the user email and the account permissions and try again.

    F03 [SCYERR-F0313]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0313] Account couldn't be deleted at this time
    Cause: This is an internal error when trying to delete an account.
    Solution: Please contact support if the issue is persisting.

    F03 [SCYERR-F0314]

    Message: [SCYERR-F0314] Account couldn't be deleted at this time. Session mismatch.
    Cause: You tried to delete an account from another session.
    Solution: Please use the same browser session for both your user connection to the app and for the one you are trying to delete the account from.
